My Personal Vision
I'm a perpetual learner, and I love the feeling of capturing new ideas and grappling with new concepts. I started in the workforce right out of high school, working odd jobs and picking up different skills. As I would make enough cash, I would put myself back into school and chip away at my Associate's Degree. I landed an entry-level job at Amazon.com to pay off my debts and save enough for a bachelor's degree.
I didn't know that the job would launch me into a career in operations management, continuous improvement, and program management. I worked and went to school full-time and received my Bachelor of Applied Science in Project Management. I used my education daily; it was a wonderful match.
I moved into leadership and management roles and found that I was highly energized and motivated when I worked with people to reach their goals and our collective team and organizational goals. I had started thinking about continuing my education but didn't feel an MBA could dive deep into leadership growth like I was interested in. I stumbled upon Gonzaga's Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and knew it was the puzzle piece I had been looking for. As I graduate this spring of 2024 from Gonzaga, I have been encouraged, connected, refreshed, and renewed. A flame has been stoked to serve those around me with the intention that they grow freer, healthier, and wiser. My vision is to engage in my communities near and far so that those around me self-actualize and that we generate learning and ideas together that lift the lives around us.
